Small Business Advice
and Coaching

Yolla Consulting offers a range of business advisory and coaching services. We focus on the individual needs of the person, business and organisation –we assess their current position and what the key issues are they need to resolve to get to where they want to go. Our advisory and coaching services can be issues based or operate on a regular basis over a period of months.

Our business coaching sessions assist, guide and support business owners to develop the skills, knowledge and strategies needed to run and grow their businesses and to operate a long-term sustainable business.  We support businesses to clarify their business vision and aims, put in place strategies and prioritise those strategies in order to achieve their goals.

Business Coaching is also an integral part of Yolla’s business development programs and offerings.  The combination of workshops and one-to-one coaching builds the skills and knowledge of the participants and accelerates the application of that knowledge into strategies for businesses or organisations in a structured and supported way.

Recent Projects:

Gold Coast Council Procurement Readiness Program:

Between July and November 2017 Yolla Consulting designed, developed and delivered the Gold Coast Council Procurement Readiness Program.  A key element of this program was the business coaching – focused on building the procurement decision making and tendering application skills and documentation for each business on the program.  The twenty businesses on this program developed their knowledge, skills, systems and documentation for supply and procurement opportunities with local and state government.

Yolla delivered the Procurement Readiness Program on behalf of TAFE Queensland through:

  • Tailored procurement readiness workshops covering introduction to tendering for government, legal issues of tendering, writing for government and key tendering tips;
  • One-to-one business coaching, support and procurement capacity building; and
  • Referrals to a range of local, state or federal government business support services and programs.
Business Advice:

Since 2014 Yolla has undertaken thousands of one-to-one business advisory sessions with a range of micro and small businesses and not-for-profit organisations through our business development programs and under the WA Small Business Development Corporation’s “Business Local” Program.  Yolla utilises simple diagnostic tools (health checks) to assess a clients’ position and works through issues with clients, providing action plans after each session that summarise discussions and note the key tasks to be undertaken to resolve issues and move forward.
